Programme & Course Outcomes

Learn, lead and serve with purpose at SCCZ.

Programme Outcomes (POs) Statements about the knowledge, skills and attitudes students should have at the end of a formal programme (e.g., a three-year Arts/Commerce/Mass Communication graduate programme) in India. POs are broader statements describing what students are expected to learn and be able to do after their Bachelor's Degree — covering general graduate competencies and expertise. The POs adopted by the National Board for Accreditation (NBA) are based on Graduate Attributes, which vary by discipline and level.
Course Outcomes (COs) POs are attained through programme-specific core courses; the resulting course-specific outcomes are called Course Outcomes. COs are narrower statements describing what students know and can do at the end of each course — covering skills, knowledge, and behaviour acquired within that course, and contributing to the overall attainment of the Programme Outcomes. Each course targets around 5–6 COs, set by the department in consultation with faculty, students and other stakeholders.
