Projects

Research projects are an integral part of the academic and research ecosystem at Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro. The College actively encourages faculty members and students to undertake research that addresses contemporary academic, social, cultural, and developmental issues, with particular emphasis on the unique contexts of Arunachal Pradesh and Northeast India. Through externally funded and institutionally supported projects, SCCZ seeks to promote innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, evidence-based inquiry, and community engagement.

The College encourages its faculty to secure research grants from national funding agencies, government departments, and other organizations, while also promoting student participation in field-based research, action research, and community-oriented projects. These initiatives strengthen the integration of teaching, research, and extension, enabling knowledge to be translated into meaningful solutions for society.

ICSSR-Funded Research Project

The Department of Anthropology has been awarded a prestigious research project by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Government of India, in recognition of the quality and relevance of its research. This achievement reflects the Department's growing contribution to social science research and the College's commitment to promoting a vibrant research culture. The project supports evidence-based research addressing issues of regional and national importance. ICSSR-funded projects are awarded through a competitive evaluation process to promote high-quality research in the social sciences.
