Guided by its vision of becoming a premier institution of higher education in Northeast India, Saint Claret College (Autonomous), Ziro seeks to provide value-based, holistic, and transformative education, particularly for the tribal youth. The College's strategic plan is anchored in academic excellence, innovation, inclusivity, research, sustainability, and community engagement, while remaining faithful to its Claretian mission of forming intellectually competent, professionally skilled, morally upright, and socially responsible citizens.
The College strives to provide an autonomous, multidisciplinary, flexible, and outcome-based curriculum that responds to national priorities, local aspirations, and global trends. It seeks to continuously improve teaching-learning processes through innovative pedagogy, experiential learning, internships, skill development, and periodic curriculum revision aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP 2020).
SCCZ is committed to nurturing the intellectual, emotional, moral, spiritual, physical, and social development of every student. Through mentoring, leadership programmes, value education, counselling, co-curricular activities, sports, and community service, the College aims to develop responsible leaders who contribute meaningfully to society.
The College seeks to strengthen its research ecosystem by promoting interdisciplinary research, faculty publications, student research projects, consultancy, innovation, and collaborations with academic and research institutions. The Research Promotion Cell, Institutional Review Board, research funding, and scholarly publications are intended to position SCCZ as a centre for quality research addressing regional and national challenges.
Recognizing the importance of technology in higher education, SCCZ aims to establish a digitally enabled campus through ERP-based administration, ICT-integrated teaching-learning, digital libraries, online academic services, e-governance, and technology-supported student services. These initiatives seek to improve efficiency, transparency, accessibility, and the overall learning experience.
The College places significant emphasis on continuous professional development of its faculty and staff through orientation programmes, faculty development programmes, research training, academic collaborations, and leadership development. Institutional capacity building ensures that the College remains academically vibrant and administratively efficient.
As a Claretian institution, SCCZ remains committed to serving society through extension activities, service-learning, rural engagement, environmental initiatives, health awareness programmes, and social outreach. Situated in the tribal heartland of Arunachal Pradesh, the College recognizes its responsibility to preserve and promote indigenous knowledge systems, local languages, cultural heritage, and traditional wisdom. Academic programmes, research, publications, and cultural events will continue to celebrate the rich diversity of Northeast India while fostering intercultural dialogue.
SCCZ is committed to building a culture of continuous quality improvement through participative governance, strategic planning, academic audits, stakeholder feedback, policy-driven administration, and effective functioning of statutory bodies. The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) will continue to monitor institutional performance and facilitate quality enhancement in every aspect of the College.
The College envisions a modern, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable campus with state-of-the-art classrooms, laboratories, research facilities, sports infrastructure, student amenities, digital learning spaces, renewable energy initiatives, and barrier-free access.
