What Claretines stand for
Claretines uphold faith and trust in a Higher Power to whom they belong and in whose love, they live, move, and have their being. A loving, authentic, and creative faith permeates their life choices.
Claretines resolve to be truthful to their inner goodness and beauty and strive to be men and women of integrity. They reject thoughts, words, and actions that may compromise their own integrity, the integrity of their alma mater as well as humanity in general.
Claretines commit themselves to work for peace within themselves, in their families, communities, nation, and the world at large. They promise to place their education at the service of peace-making. “Blessed are the Peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God” (Matt. 5:9)
Claretines strive to work together with other stakeholders in order to realise the goals of education as well as the creation of a civilisation of love. They supplement healthy competition with mutually enhancing and productive collaboration for the benefit of all.
Claretines pledge to improve their own personal competencies, gratefully building upon God-given talents and abilities. They recognise that each individual can and must take personal responsibility to build up one’s competence in order to make an effective contribution to society.
